Glycolic Acid Peels

For patients in need of only minimal treatment of fine wrinkles, skin dryness, or acne, glycolic or alphahydroxy (AHA) acid, may be utilized for a facial peel.

Glycolic acid is the mildest formula used in chemical peels and can even be an active ingredient in facial washes and creams used in a daily skin care regimens. Glycolic acid peels result in smoother, more vibrant looking skin. Because the peel is not as deep as other acid treatments, recovery times are significantly less, but for this same reason, multiple peels may be required to achieve desired results.
