TCA Peels

A stronger, deeper chemical peel than either glycolic or salicylic acids utilizes trichloroacetic acid (TCA).

TCA peels are considered medium-depth chemical peels used to treat superficial blemishes, skin pigmentation issues, and both fine and somewhat deeper wrinkles. TCA peels usually only take 15 minutes, yet are very effective and because the depth of peel is greater, TCA peels are preferred for patients with darker skin. Following the TCA procedures, you must use spf 30 or greater sun screen or avoid sun exposure completely to protect the new skin. TCA chemical peels may be repeated to achieve desired results.
